Hi how many of you have changed to carbon washers in the original Daiwa tournament ISO reel, and does it make much difference?

I did,I had mine from custom reels uk and they made it smoother.The drags on mine felt a bit jumpy like they were sticking and it sorted them out perfectly

How do you know there is no need,if you did not try it.I did and imo it was worth it,cost next to nothing and took around 5 minutes to do

I purchased the washers on a whim and have never felt the need to change them as my Iso's are silky smooth, probably due to the fact they have very little use these days and are as new condition.

In my opinion there is absolutely ‘no need' to change the washers, the drag works perfectly well. You may have had some dodgy ones?
