Not one of my favourite guitarists but sad to see him go at the relatively young age of 65

He was a true innovator.
His tapping technique was like the invention of the hair rig in terms of the influence it had. There are stories that when he used to play their early gigs he would turn his back on the audience so people couldn't see how he was getting the sounds he did out of a guitar. Genius!

Let's hope we don't have a supergroup of losses this year. Neil Peart from Rush in January and now Eddie. Nerd fact. Van Halen were managed by Rush's manager for a while.
