Any users of the Chirps+ out there that could answer a few questions?

I've got one turning up tomorrow and was wondering how wide, like the distance between casts the wide beam angle works out to be? You know, how many rod lengths between each point the deeper enters the water from the next cast?

It depends on how deep the water is? If its three foot deep you wont get much coverage on the bottom so you will be casting a few feet away. However if its 30 ft deep the coverage on the bottom will be much greater.

I wouldn't worry about it as the mapping will show you any bits you have missed.
