Anyone use these rods?
I feel like they use the same materials as Aqua does with their Atom retracrables. Even the blank feels comparable.

Thanks! Yeah I found that with the scopes at 3lb found 3.5lb better for casting and a bit more backbone so wonder if these will be the same!

Trouble with these sonik 10ft insurgents rods is they have stupid 50mm butt rings . I looked at purchasing a set until I see they had the 50mm butt rings put me off straight of them look absolutely ridiculous and no need for them . So went with abbreviated 10ft 3lb scopes which are great plenty of back bone for what I want from them

Sonik rods are better in the sense that there sold at the right price scopes are overpriced nothing special in them to warrant being dearer imho

Are they good for playing fish, i had the insurgent recons they were are dream for playing fish. Unfortunately had to sell them, thinking of getting the 10ft 3,5 lbs in the future, im a big fan of the blank.

I did consider the recons... how did you find those with double retractable sections? I was just thinking it's another thing to go wrong!

It works. The feature i mean they pack down really small but function as a regular 12 ft rod. Had them over a year had no problems the carbon they use is spot on, slim great casting rods.
I like them alot.

Cheers mate, toss up between the 12ft recons in 3.5 and the 10ft 3.5 I think!

I've had the xtractor recon 12 ft 3.25 for over a year and can't fault them
I also have scope 10ft 2.75 and 3.5
Personally find the 3.5 a bit heavy so use the 3.25 most of the time

I mean now looking back at it i would never sell them, same transport lenght + distance casting benefit. Really depends what lakes u fish i think.
I went for some lower quality 13 ft rods cuz the lake im fishing is massive, yes they can cast stupid distances but playing fish is rubish, miss those insurgent recons when i play fish
