Looking at going for a 48hour somewhere I'm going to have a decent chance of a bend in the rod. Fished fairly hard waters through the summer (club waters) and just looking for somewhere me and my mate can go and get a bend in the rod. Around Bedfordshire way preferably!

All of Manor farms lakes are relatively easy. Damsel lake is good a for a bite or 2 particularly.

Luton - mainly Beckerings (my first year on there) from what people have said it's been a lot harder this year than previous. I've caught fish but maybe I was expecting it to be easier. Had runs on north house also but haven't landed anything unfortunately.

Maybe so but Beckerings has been for me - or anyone else I've spoken to. Hasn't fished easy at all. The last 3 times I've been just been pestered by bream.

Get down to willows at St Albans, very easy waters. Failing that God knows, as said beckerings is very easy

It might of been in the past but not this season it hasn't been. I had 1 good night there the rest just plagued by bream. That's said I don't mind a struggle just want a bit of an easier go at it for once. I've fished willows before think I might head over there but heard mixed reviews of it lately.

My guess is it's probably suffering from the obscene amount of extra pressure that a lot of club waters have due to the uptake of angling following the lockdown. It's a small water and many of those I fish can get very moody when pressured. Plus they've probably seen more bait in three months than they do in a year normally, and we've had no rainfall this year and that means very little fresh water in it due to it being not naturally fed.
I remember years ago when I fished it, you'd have to get it very wrong to blank. In fact I'd often stick a carp rod out in the depths of winter when I was meant to be piking because you could still regularly nick one.

Yeah exactly my thoughts - I've caught elsewhere but still knocks the confidence that's why somewhere to get me catching before winter and give me some confidence is on the cards!!

Pit 5 or 6 used to be, can't remember which one. Be surprised if the otters hadn't changed that though
