ive got some 10ft 3lb rods and i love using them, the problem im having is when giving it welly the line wraps around the first and biggest eye ring causing me to crack of.
Any idea why this keeps happening?

Make sure you hold the line from the spool at 90 degrees from the spool you may be gripping the rod incorrectly, which causes a bit of slack when you release the line on the cast.

The rods are to soft.
Soft rods when cast hard cause a small amount slack line as they bend downwards and then straighten this in turn makes a frap around butt ring,
Ive had the same and consulted Terry Edmonds on it.
