HI, after new big pits and settled on either the emblem 45, penn affinity II7000 or the ultegra xtd. can't find a shop that has all three in stock near me. Has anyone had a chance to play with these and which would you recommend?

Had the penns, had ultegras, currently have the emblems. The penns are superior than the others by a way, and cheaper too. Definitely the way to go

Penns are great reels so smooth and line lay in excellent the only thing to get used to is you have to manually close the bail arm after a cast👍

been using penns for nearly 3 years now, and I fish a lot, 3 nights a week all year round. they have never missed a beat. To be honest having used top end reels in the past I cant see me going down that route again they are that good!

I was looking at the 45's but the shop didnt have them in so had a play with the daiwa basias and ultegra XTC and the ultegra was much nicer and less than half the price. Took seconds to change my mind! Always had daiwa in the past, but the ultegras are so nice to use its a bit of a revelation.
