Thinking of a set of these so for anyone that has them what are your thoughts ??

Checked a few rods over with one of the staff in the tacklebox last year, they showed me there is a manufacturing issue that leaves pitting near the joint (overfit if I remember right). Several rods had this issue, probably not a major issue but I expected more for the money. Like all free spirits, if you buy off the shelf then I'd say its best to go and check them in person first. I struggled to get a set of two bank creepers from the tacklebox where the rings all lined up but we got there eventually.
Edit: also the reel seats on the abbreviated versions are a bit marmite

There's a few threads on these if you use the search button. I left a review a while back. I was given the 13ft 3.5's to test out alongside the aviator 13's. Surprisingly I preferred the S-Lites. I use them for long range work in preference to my torrix te's. Three and a half or four ounce leads required to get the best from them. Haven't had any issues with hook pulls and for a quite pokey rod they're suprisingly nice to play fish on. Mine are from the tacklebox so have the purple whippings , which I don't mind. Great rods for the money. 👍
