I have a budget of £600-£700... Looking at x3 12ft... 3.25 or 3.5 tc..understated if possible.

If you don't mind second hand,I'd look for a set of Torrix, you'll probably find a set of customs, usually plain in finish etc. Most of the off the shelf ones personally I find too blingy if you know what I mean!
Great casting rods and for me good playing rods, some say otherwise but I tend to play fish rather gently and have never suffered from hookpulls etc
