Yesterday I made around 15 booms (7.5inch) i'm 100% sure i did every step right
6mm krimps with 25lb Boom fluocarbon, they all snapped when I put pressure on them with the knot puller, are they really that crappy or do I have a bad batch?

You can't be doing it right I don't think mate. Where are they snapping? Did you crimp loops into them?

Loop on both sides
Just did another test, it broke at 19Lb, on one side the krimp broke off, the fluorocarbon is still completely but curled

sounds like error, (with all due respect) or a dodgy batch. Been using Boom and Krimps for years, only ever had one problem and that was slippage due to me not quite tightening the krimp enough.
Lol just did a test with a ready made boom, it snapped at 16lb on the loop...

but you tie it onto your mainline on a rod attach it to a tree and see if you can break it

I'm presuming one end is attached to his scales and the other to the puller and he sees how far the scales go before it snaps....

It is a good point Gerry makes though, pulling as you are doing is not the same comparison as a fishing situation where you have the stretch of the mono and the cushion of the rod. True a breaking strain should be exactly that but I have been using Boom for as long as it has been out and never had a link snap...

I've not used the Boom material but have been krimping to Hybrid Stiff for the last few years and have never had a single hooklink snap. Why not test both materials and compare the two? I'd be interested to hear your results.

You are never going to put 16 - 19lb of pressure on a fish hook hold in water with rod bent and mainline stretch.

Boom is not fluoro either though,it threw me as you replied to post 10 not the op
