Hi, does anyone know the main differences between the tempest v1 and v2 brollys? My v1 has taken a proper battering and looking to buy a new one

I can't remember if it's identical, but it's good enough quality... no complaints.

Foot print is the same but the dimensions slightly different
V2 has anti twist poles
also has a option for a zip in front/mozzi mesh/ window etc.
They cannot take the same size skull caps and utility fronts.
I have a v1 and have checked to see if the skull cap, wrap & utility front are compatible with the V2 and was told by trakker they were not at the northern angling show
Although since then I have had a pole snap on mine (due to a cheap Chinese screw in the mechanism) and my replacement pole was a V2 one and matched in shape perfectly

Size wise i believe its the same. I have a v2 brolly with v1 skull cap. Works as intended.

I thought it was better poles and slightly different material, I have a v2 wrap and a v2 utility on my v1 and they fit spot on e

If I was looking to replace my V1 I would go the 100t version.
More headroom and rear vents are a tempting upgrade.

I suspected that a lot of it could be retro fitted to the later models.
I asked them at the NAS when they first released the V2's and had one for people to look at. One of the guys on the stand said gear from V1 wouldn't fit on v2 - which meant I stayed with my V1
Must say when I do get due a renew I will get one of the taller ones - really like the extra head room when sat on the bedchair you get with them

I just got the tall brolly.
Strangely I set it a bit lower.
More room for my wide boy then. Also
It saves having to use the tension strap.
The position it naturally stands at is ideal
For me.
