Hey guys and dolls.
Really new to the world of carping and so far am loving it. But when it come to baits etc.
Could really do with some sound advice as to best products to use. Have a three nighter booked for mid Sept and would like to know of combination of baits to use. Boile type, flavour, size. Liquids and goos. Popups wafters etc. There are so many products and manufactures on the market, would like some recommendations that I can look up after some sound knowledge form peeps.
Happy Carping everyone

That's a massive question which to be honest could have about 1000 different answers depending on who's answering. For me if you're new to it I would keep it really really really simple. When I first got in to it I was just fishing PVA mesh bags, with pellets and a single hookbait. For that to work you'll want to fish the right venue, again for a beginner you probably should be going to a high stocked very easy venue.
If you want to fish over more bait than that, then the next question is how you're going to get the bait out to whatever range you're fishing. My guess if you're new is that you won't have a spod rod setup etc. and at best probably have a catapult. So you need to pick a bait that can be catapulted out reasonably easily. Again I would stick with pellets and maybe even groundbait to help that. The range of the catapult also ties back in to the venue choice, as you need to pick a place that has the high stock that I mentioned but also isn't too big so you can fish fairly close in fairly comfortably

Agree, keep it simple.
Just buy any old half decent boillie form a respectable bait firm, and a pot of pop ups. That is enough to catch from pretty much anywhere imo.

Absolutely agree. This time of year go for a good fishmeal from Sticky, Mainline, Nash, DNA and the like and I'd add a pot of wafters to the pop ups. Any of these baits will catch you fish anywhere.

Agree with everything here; you can muddle yourself silly on which bait to use and ultimatly, it all boils down to each persons subjectiveness.
A good quality bait, in the right spot on a nicely tied & efficient rig will catch. If the carp are hungry, they will eat it - its just a fish
As and when you want to expand different bait types, again - simple works.
Thousands have been caught on a mix of hemp and corn, no magic ingredients here. Even the humble pellet still works.

Try and find a good, local firm making decent bait and pick it up from them. Mix 50/50 with pellets. They probably make a match the hatch wafter and pop up to go with it. Buy those as well and a flouro option as well. Don't buy tubs and tubs of pop ups as you will confuse yourself. My mate who has had over 250 UK 30''s uses one bait and has two tubs of pop ups and that's it. Keep it simple.
