France will almost certainly reciprocate as they did first time round.

Has anyone read the government page, the section about private vehicles.
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-travel-corridors
Private vehicles
You don't need to self-isolate if you travel through a non-exempt country and you don't stop in the country.
If you do make a stop, you don't need to self-isolate if:
no new people get into the vehicle
no-one in the vehicle gets out, mixes with other people, and gets in again
You do need to self-isolate if you make a stop and:
new people get into the vehicle, or
someone gets out of the vehicle, mixes with other people and gets in again
If I went to a public lake for a week and didn't see another soul and didn't stop for fuel or food. Could I come back and not have to self isolate?

YES you would need to self isolate as you were not transiting !

Hmmm.
The transiting section seems to be a different section though.
The word transiting isn't mentioned in the private vehicles section at all.

Does anyone know if the rest of your household have to quarantine with you for 14 days or just you?

Will probably kill my May rearranged trip. FFS
Well I'm still going to go in September 👍

Looks like its only the person who travelled. You need to socially distance yourself from them at all times though.

Well I won't be going to France.
Surely fishing for carp can wait?
The rules are there for a reason - to try and stop being being killed by Covid-19.
If you do go and don't quarantine for the 14 day period, surely you are putting others at risk?
Unless you are one of the people that thinks it won't happen to me...

If France reciprocate you will have to quarantine for 14 days in France....not an issue if you are fishing for 2 weeks or more.
I am a posted worker with my company registered in France, as a result I (currently) have immunity status until end of August and I got out of France today based on Ministere De L'Europe advice.
I am unlikely to get the status again whilst the UK require French nationals to quarantine on UK soil.
