Looking for compact brolly (not system) for use where its gonna take some stick (tight swims, brambles etc) so don't want to pay a load.
Was thinking something like the Cyprinus fast & lite but see they dont do them anymore
Any other suggestion for something similar?

I know, It isn't a brolly but the avid tardis (not the tardis RT) has very compact footprint and is lightweight. It packs down very compact, takes 2min to erect and costs 120

Korum pentalite looks very good, was thinking of changing my fox specialist brolly for one of those at some point for more coverage

I have a pentalite it's just ok overpriced tbh a bit flimsy and I don't think it would be good in strong wind I wouldn't buy one again I don't think korum are very good tbh I think £50 ish would be right price

I've got the forerunner to that, the superlite, pretty 5hit but OK for day sessions. I don't know if the pentalight is bigger but I couldn't fit a bedchair under the superlite.
When it gives up I'll get a brolly I think, the fox specialist looks oj

I got the superlite put it up took it straight back absolute rubbish the pentalite is bigger and not much better I don't think you can beat a standard brolly with Gardner brolly spike

A lot of the time I think I'd be better off with a tarp
The way I fish on day sessions I don't need much protection, I just don't want all my gear to get soaked mainly. To that extent it serves its purpose and isn't much heavier than a tarp.
Using that and a lightweight camping chair at 2. 2kgs vs my tempest brolly and lightweight fishing chair at 10kgs is a no brainer for me, I would suffer another kilo for a better shelter tho

I brought a sabre lite for 119.99 delivered
good bit of kit
not sure it will withstand too much In the way of brambles so maybe to Wychwood hdr as its a bit thicker but im happy with the sabre
