It was only a few weeks ago that I was praising the P1 Bowloc landing net that I purchased. But 3 sessions later it has broken (snapped arm) and no response from solar about a replacement so am looking for a new net.
The Gardener looks good (and reasonably priced) and spares are available.
Any body using one?
you can also get 50" arms ... do they fit into the standard spreader block?.
in over 40 years of carp fishing I have never had a net break, no matter what abuse it gets. Its nuts

I'm using it with a different pole so just the spreader block arms and net. I bought it based on a rec from Josh a while ago but only recently got to use it.
It's very easy to move through the water which is why I bought it.
The spreader block can take a bit of getting used to but if you put 1 arm in and compress it on the floor to put the other arm in it's very simple, I wouldn't try doing it any other way as it takes quite some force to do it. That in itself has given me a problem when trying to remove the arms to take a fish to the mat but I'm getting used to it. I'm hoping it will 'give' a little with use.
The super soft mesh, it's got it's 1st hole in after only 5 or 6 uses, can only think it was when it was up against a tree, it's not as if I yanked it off either...the jury is out on the longevity of the mesh.

Ive had the Gardner outreach net (very similar) for a few years, its like triggers broom. Ive had the arms snap on 3 sets at the metal spigot. Ive had the spreader block thread go and also the handle spigot has Now gone so just pushes together with zero grip so i cant use the extension. Ive replaced the parts..i . personally dont recommend it.
I always set 2 nets up incase of double takes, its now my second net..
the fox X4 Net with 8 ft handle is my main net. It is far superior quality to the Gardner one for not much more money. A really nice quality net that i recommend.
