Would have loved to have seen that. Watched a few documentaries on him, fighting the sailors when he was a kid, immense talent

In the early 90's I used to work with a bloke that said he'd sparred Duran in Panama late 60's. This guy was no bull ****ter, tough as teak, only about 5'5" but looked like a lift had fell on him body shape wise with a breeze block of a head. He used to fairground and traveller fight for money quite regular and was merchant navy at the time. Worked out on the ship reckoned he was at his peak when he met Duran. They used to go through the Panama canal fairly regularly but on this trip the ship broke down in the canal and they had a 3 week repair so all the crew went and did their own thing in Panama. Kenny found a boxing gym looking for a few cash fights, the guys in the gym set up a 5 rounder with the local prospect, Duran. Kenny said he was only a kid but had "the look" in his eyes. He stayed on his stool at the end of round one! Said he was being hit that hard that fast and that often he thought he was surrounded
