Yeah they are decent enough, no idea about the ultegra but imo the penns are a better reel tbh

The xtd has a problem with line going behind the spool guards and snapping it. I had four and sold them. The bail arms are very thin as well and easily bend. I have the emblem 45 gold spool now and I had an initial problem with one but Daiwa sorted it out in a few days since then they have been faultless. Change the washers to ice washers for a smoother clutch.

I had 5 14k xtd and 3 5.5k xtd, and sold them all, they were probably smoother and sturdier built than the 45's, but overall I much prefer the emblem. The drag takes a couple of trips to really get used too, but is fine thereafter.
Good reels, good value and spare spools decently priced too, I now have thinned down to 4 emblem 45'# , with sets of spools for braid, fluoro, 15lb cm90, 10lb cm90 with leaders and 23lb exocet for snags where braid not allowed, covers every eventuality and saved a chunk of cash just having 1 set of reels.
