Done a fair few sessions at Linear, B1, Hardwick/Smiths and St. Johns, but never been on B2. Due to go up in September or October though.
My main concern are the 'bars' that seem to run through it, are they that severe?
Some say they've never had an issue, others that they've had a few cut offs, just wondered peoples thoughts on here that have fished it?
I plan on fishing a leader anyway, alongside a drop off lead, to get the fish up in the water, but any other suggestions would be great.

Hi,
the fish move around a fair bit so you can catch anywhere on the lake, around 1800 in total. Get a lead out and find a decent spot, lot's of snags so you will need a leader. I always fish with around 30ft of leader on B2. Don't overdo it with the bait when you first arrive, maybe 8 to 10 spods on your spot, top it up after a fish. I use Size 6 hooks with a simple braid hooklink and wafters or boilies matching the spod mix, with a piece of fake corn on top. As for spod mix, Particles, Boilies and plenty of corn.

Yeah, understand on the bait front, having fished Linear before a few time they all seem to be able to take a fair bit of bait once the fish get their heads down, but not too much early on, which has always been my tactic there
Cheers for the heads up on the snags, I was thinking this may be the case, but as said, a couple of chaps I know have never had an issue, probably more luck than judgement by the sounds of it though, will get that leader on

Fished B2 many years ago when I didn't used to hardly see any other anglers. Had some good times on there. Don't go near it now. Always rammed.
I was cut off quite a few times but it was always beds off mussels that got me.

They 'drag' the lakes a couple of times a year to bag up on sunken spombs and cracked off kit, good job too. Due to the makeup of the lake it wont ever be cleared (lots of ups and downs, unlike B1) but I dont think its half as bad as it was snags wise. I've only fished it once but managed to fish at 120 yards with no discernible snags between the spot and the bank, might have got lucky though
