Hi all,

I had most my fish on 12lb Daiwa Sensor over the years. Is it still a sought after mainline?

Also, how frequent do you respool? My Baitrunners have not been touched in years. Guessing every couple of years?

Yes you can still get it and it is a good solid line
I would say at least once per year depending on usage, much longer and light and air will degrade it and it will start losing strength

Though I'm trying Shimano Technium this year up to that point I've used Sensor pretty much since it came out and wouldn't hesitate to use it now.
I tend to respool every year nowadays as habit but in the past have left it on 2 or 3 years, in fact after a break from fishing I used the line which was on from 4 years previously iirc, no problem.

still a good reliable mono, although not as refined as some of the higher priced offerings.

For the sake of a tenner I would respool once a year minimum. Not worth losing fish for that price.

I switched to the Hyper Sensor a few years ago, a much thinner line but Diawa claim its stronger. I really like it and use the 15lb, thinner than the ordinary Sensor 12lb as well
