Hi Every one. just returning to carp fishing after a 15 yr break so i wil probably ask some daft questions.
Anyway can anyone advise what size reel would be most useful both here and abroad. i am going to France fishing with some friends in September to fish a 7 acre lake with fish up to 50lbs . we will have access to a boat for baiting etc so not a lot of casting required.
so should i get 6000 size or 8000 size, i will be using mono mainline. all of my uk fishing is on my local club waters where a cast of 100yds max is needed and the fish only go up to upper 20s , so i am leaning towards 6000. any suggestions

I would personally say something like a mini big pit (shimano 5500 or the 10000 baitrunners)
