Looking to move to a pod instead of my usual bank sticks as the lake I'm now fishing is a nightmare with sticks.
Love the idea of a light weight aluminium pod but are they prone to being pulled over or moving? I'm thinking I'll need the weight of the stainless to hold it in place.
I don't really want to have to anchor it as it would defeat the point of moving away from sticks.
Thoughts?

I had the carbon nbrice and changed to the jag 316 compact for the fear it might get dragged over,when I've fished snags locked up I've never had a problem

Ive a lightweight aluminium pod but rarely use it.
I've no confidence in its stability if I don't use it with its sticks through it.
I have occasionally used it tied or weighted down but only as a last resort, probably better with a heavier one but I don't like the thought of a swim to retrieve my kit.
I have made a T shaped spike/ drill if the ground is hard and normally just fish with sticks and bars.

Further to my earlier post extended the front of my 316 yesterday as fishing in weed had a run this morning and pod toppled over just a thought that maybe get an anchor into the ground regardless when I get back I will be

The avid lock down compact pod is a solid pod. It is use it a lot for my urban fishery and it didn't tip over yet.
But I never fish large angles (line vs rod/pod).
If you're still worried, you can trie to use a strap to fixate everything.

used ally pods for years the original Fox X-Pod and then the Quatro pod never had any issues
