But just lately iv been noticing that the price of 2nd hand tackle is getting very close,and often even sometimes above new tackle cost. Now I'm not one for calling people but isnt this abit crazy. I'm guessing it's due to a possible few reasons. Maybe people want something and it's out of stock and they cant wait which drives the price up. Maybe it's people buying all the sale items and then listing them on sites. Or is it that the good old barter in people has died along with the growth of peoples greed.
Anyway,I for one think the used market has gone mad.

Shop prices have climbed, discounts unavailable, stocks depleted. it was only a matter of time that secondhand prices caught up. The bottom will drop out of the secondhand market in the next few months when furlough payments stop and unemployment rises

I got £90 for an original solar weigh sling on ebay last month. The price of all the older solar stuff seems to have gone through the roof recently.

I agree totally , I just won't buy second hand gear unless it's a bargain , it's the idiots that pay it that are keeping the prices high , I'll leave em to it , I'd rather buy new or wait for stock if it's a similar price

Yeah the solar stuff gets silly, I sold 3 ptfe ball line clips for £85......I couldn't not sell them at that price!

I was watching those, to be fair they were PTFE cased ones and apparently have a 'no blank' guarantee!

Apparently only 50 Delrin sets made, signed by the man himself in side and with a letter of authenticity 😆
It was the description of Delrin which made me laugh, it was made out to be a super material and how hard it was to machine, ask anyone who's ever machined any Delrin what it was like and they'll tell you it machines beautifully.....still each to their own, some guy spent 1.6 million dollars on a koi 🙄

People go silly on eBay. I sold an old sonic unhooking mat for £25 not so long ago. I think I only paid half that at closing down sale a couple of years ago. It wasn't me asking for that price but people outbidding each other.
