Just bought a mint set of nash rs1 sirens, had a play around with the settings after watching YouTube but I am finding the receiver is not very loud , I set the alarm heads to their loudest ( does the receiver replicate the alarms in volume ? )and I have put some new batteries in the alarms and receiver but I am finding that compared to other receivers on different model alarms it is not that loud .... Does anyone else have a set of RS1 sirens and do you find yourself in the same situation as me ? TIA

Adjusting Siren RS1 receiver volume
Simultaneously hold S and T buttons together for 2 seconds,until 2 increasing tones are heard and the S and T lights on the receiver are illuminated.
Pressing the power button momentarily will make the receiver choose one of the 5 different volume settings
Choose the volume setting you want then press S and T for 2 seconds until you get 2 decreasing tones and all LED's on the receiver go out.
Jobs a good un then.

as Scott replied: you've got to adjust the volume of the receiver manually.

I turn the sound as low as possible on the heads and find the med setting on the receiver plenty loud enough
my only criticism is the receiver is just one tone and does not replicate the tone of the heads but as they are soo good I put up with them and its true what they say when they sound its because of a fish !!
drag can slowly pull the line out and you wont hear anything from the alarm no false bleeps ever

I have grown to prefer the tone on the receiver. I wake easier on a high tone so can have it quieter, but prefer the lowest tone on the heads.
I have owned mine for a good few years now and unless they pack up I have no intention of changing them. As you say they only sound if it's a fish.

I have gone through the 5 levels of volume on the receiver and still cannot get the receiver no where near as loud as my
Txi s , lxrs or rx s .... Normally fish under a open fronted shelter / umbrella system and was just a little worried that in windy conditions I may sleep through the receiver noise , maybe I have a dodgy receiver ...

If they aren't loud enough to wake you then I'd question whether it's safe to be fishing whilst asleep. They are plenty loud enough, and set too loud by most. Nothing worse than being woken at 3am by a screaming run someone else is having...

well its beginning to sound like
either your partially deaf or you got a faulty receiver as I have never used mine on the max volume setting
I hang mine off a magnetic hook next to my head height when asleep so when I open my eyes I can instantly see which of the receivers led is on also its the perfect height to hear it clearly

For your information I do not have my receivers on the other models on their max settings or excessively loud , I have them loud enough to wake me ( not the lake ) if I nod off ( that's one of the reasons they were designed for isn't it ?? ) ... but the receiver i have is pretty quiet on its max setting !! And going by all accounts you guys reckon they are loud enough , so that tells me I may have a duff one or speaker damage etc ?? And I do not need my ears syringed ffs !!! 😆

I would hope not too. Either of my recievers go on their lowest setting so can't be heard in the next swim, let alone across the lake.
