Sorting out a more heavier 3 rod set up as I've been doing overnighters on ponds for a few yeaars. I haven't been a "bivvy tramp" for around 10 years now, but been given a pass to do long weekend sessions a few times a year in France/Belgium on the public waters now the kids are older.

So, are there any "handy" or practical items which you think may be overlooked by others, which make your sessions a lot more bareable/enjoyable?

I've got the basics sorted... spare lighters, mozzy spray/citronella candles, power pack... any others I may have missed or any recommendations?

I always take some cable ties with me and duck tape just incase anything snaps or breaks

Everytime I go to France straight into the supermarket

and have a loadup of their wonderful Geranium Mozzie coils these ones are about 10 times more effective than the rubbish sold here just look for a picture of a Geranium on the box
sadly the crappy ones sold here give off very nasty dangerous chemical fumes

Always keep a stash of about 10 boxes of these, bloody stink though

I dont think they stink at all ?? but then I quite like the smell of geraniums and unlike the crap they sell here these are safe to use indoors
