Only experience I've had with solar panels is the atom one...
Not cheap by any means but boy does it perform well...

Do you have the 40 or 60. Is there a massive difference in the 60? I'm looking at getting the atom power pack and pairing it with the solar. The 40 is on offer for £70 at the minute so was just going to get that.

Presumably you were thinking to need 10w for charging an iPad etc?
Might be worth a look at the combined battery / solar panel units.
Some are cheaper than what's been mentioned and if you start off with it fully charged then sun would not be essential when you need to charge your phone.

this seems good I have one very similar and it Fast charges my phone and I charge my Ipad and my power pack
with no problems Triple USB Ports Power:
3 USB Charging Ports with Smart IC Technology and each port supply the optimal charging efficiency up to 5V/2.4A max. The 3 USB Ports can offer the total current at 5V/3.4A.
Automatically Adjust Current and Auto-Restart function, no need to re-connect again when passing under shadow or cloudy days.

it should charge in daylight it dont have to be in sunshine but at a slower rate
I have used mine which is the same sort of specs as this to recharge my Ipad and phone loads of times on a bright day without seeing the sun and surprisingly fast too
