Think there was a thread a short while back but couldn't see it anywhere for looking, as we are all generally able to be back on the bank get out there and support your local tackle shop.so many have disappeared to the big boys, there will come a day that you won't be able to pop and grab some bits as they will be gone if we don't.

Totally agree and not just with angling shops mate. My local Premier Angling in Keynsham have been great.
They're operating a call and collect solution and you can add to your order if you have forgotten anything.

I've always used a local tackle shop regardless what I'm buying .my closest friend and his dad had a tackle shop in Surrey which he had 30 year up to last year and was forced to scale it back and gave up his half of the shop mainly due to the larger tackle shops and trade accounts giving better terms . For example Every month angling direct would do there deals on shimano and he would spend thousands buying stock because it was cheaper to buy from them than buying from shimano on their terms.(wheres there deals now )
Just to add to that I could imagine a young person or a new comer to fishing going to angling direct asking how to start float fishing etc they are so dialed into selling premium carp gear that they wouldn't have a clue!!

My local shop The Tackle Box, Dartford is doing click & collect, another 10 days and they can all open hopefully.
