I have about 15 or so leads, some unused, that have all started to lose their coatings... most have cracked, not sure why, heat possibly or just bad finishing? I don't know. Some of them were custom made for me and the guy I got them from isn't making leads anymore, so they're a bit more special.
How easy is it to re-coat them? I don't need anything fancy, just a single colour - black, green or brown etc. I've watched a couple of YouTube vids and I think it might be messy/expensive for what little I have to do.
Thoughts?

Heat up the lead and drop it into the coating cover it completely and dunk it into water to seal it With a rough finish or heat up the coating to melt it
That's how I used to do it
The tackle box sell the stuff but I'm sure you can buy it from somewhere like eBay
A pair of forceps or long nose pliers and a blow torch or camping stove is all you need

When I used to dive lakes uncoated leads were much harder to find than the shiny coated ones. I just leave the leads I make out for a couple of days to tarnish now.

Type in. Powder coating lead. On eBay. You can even do them pink.

Nice one! Any idea on how much of the stuff I would need? Smallest quantity is 100g?
I've counted the leads, I have about 15. So for a smooth finish; you heat lead up, dunk it in the coating and then bake until smooth? - I think a YouTube video gave me that...
