Afternoon all. Ive posted a few threads recently regarding my intention on upgrading my kit. Although im itching at the bit to place some orders its been advised to me about seeing and touching it all before parting with cash, which is a fair and sensible point.
So my question is where has a large selection of Rods, reels, alarms, and ideally bivvies on display i can go and browse once the shops re-open?
Im based in Wallington, Surrey but happy to travel if its worth the journey (withing reason)

Your best bet would be to find your local Angling Direct or other local large tackle shop that stocks the things you are interested in and asking them if you can pop in and see them in the flesh/set up to have a comparison. I don't think you will find a tackle shop that has every bivvy, bed, alarm, rods, reels etc all set up ready for browsing
Somewhere like Angling Direct will probably have access to the various things you are interested in so will be worth asking if you could see x,y and z bivvy set up so you can decide. They may well say no but so be it

Bivvies are usually a problem Because of the size but most would probably set one up for you if you asked If they haven't already got any up

Poingdestres if still going used to have alot of gear on display across 2 buildings in southampton...
Browns in Leighton Buzzard normally have most of the common bivvys set up on permanent display, usually with a load of different bedchairs so you can swap them about and see which beds gives you the space and headroom you need in different shelters etc.
They've normally got a few nash, Trakker, Aqua and fox set up and often brollys as well. It's a decent sized store so they carry a lot of stock.

But to be fair they do have a lot of bivvies on display as well as beds, (Waltham Cross)
Even if you go in and look at what's on display then purchase elsewhere, it's worth a look.

In terms of Shelters I would have a walk round a busy day ticket water and see what's folks have. As long as you are polite most anglers will happily chat to you and shares views on what they have and let you have a good look.
