Carp fishing has destroyed me lol. Twice I've turned up recently to my nearly £600 syndicate after work, only to go home due to lake being rammed out 😩 that's not right surely there's gotta be something else.
There's gotta be some peace and quiet out there surely, tell me I'm not deluded! Don't care how hard the reputation of the lake is and not fussed about cost just give me some quiet banks on a gravel pit anywhere in Surrey, Hampshire or the colne valley or surrounds pleeeeeeeeeease

On a serious note, how about fishing the Grand Union Canal. Firstly its cheap as chips, so if you dont use it much you've not wasted money, secondly theres a good chance of getting back into a spot after work so you can get somewhere going and thirdly theres so much of it its not likely to get rammed out.

Yeah I've heard from mates it's pretty bad everywhere and understandable to an extent with the lockdown just can't believe how bad my current syndicate is. It's definitely not enjoyable fishing even if you manage to squeeze in one of the last remaining swims

How about troy Lake on an Uxbridge rovers ticket? Always seems quiet on there. Not sure what carp stocks are like now.

Was a fish kill on there but not sure if it has been restocked, loads of HS2 activity there so maybe no fishing now.

Would probably take a papercourt ticket mate. Not a quiet water these days I don't think but it's a nice distance from me and a nice lake. Fished it a couple of times many years ago when cemex had it. Very hard to get a ticket I think in recent years
