Hi just got a set of free spirit ctx 3.2 whenI've put the reel on I can only just get the reel in the top seat just wonders if this is normal the bottom seems fine just the top only goes in a
couple mill at most. Also does anyone else feel the 3.25s a bit soft feeling ?? Ta

Mine's similar, never had an issue and tightens down well.

Wouldn't say they're feel particularly soft - feels like a normal 3.25 to me, will put a lead a long way in the right hands but also decent to play fish on 👍🏻

Haha no need to worry just trow them hard , once you are used to them they are a bliss to throw an play fish with it.

Cant wait to get free spirit rods back again after a long break (vader x cork now for this year)

I used some for a few trips the SU model I think it was. Fishing about 120 was fine with them the spod rod rod was also good value and I used it for a while until I got rid great rods for the money.

ive had the same sonik sk4 rods for about 8 years, in comparison the soniks feel so stiff compared to the ctxs even though both sets are 3.25...

Thats whats probably putting me off tbh

Not had any problems with reel seats on mine.. have the 3.5 and rate them. Prefer them over my old e class.

Does anyone know if the CTX range of rods have been discontinued as can't seem to find anywhere that stocks them ?

Not sure if they've been discontinued, but Johnson Ross were always a good place for them. Might be worth giving them a call as their website is down at the mo 👍🏻

Try and message the Tackle box through Facebook, I spoke to Gary Peet there yesterday about some 10ft rods and the CTX range came up in the conversation with no mention of being discontinued.
