Want to upgrade my current Delkim EV+'s as i now need a receiver. I only use two alarms for 95% of my fishing so happy with two heads and a receiver
I cant justify paying out £420 for TXI D's or the fox equivelent, so have been scouting through the threads on here
The alarms that seem to come out on top are the Nash Siren R3's
Is this going to be the next best thing or have i missed something else that is better for the money, such as the gardner atts?

I've got the nash siren r3 and i'm happy with them. Working like a charm.
Carp sounder age one is also a great alternative. German quality, bullet proof and sealed.
If my sirens would die for one or another reason... These alarms would also be worth having look at.

if you like your EVs just get some attx dongles and a receiver, loads on ebay

Wait 6 months and save up, sell the ev's and get txids, you'll only wish you had later on.

Or get a set of ATT's, I've had a few alarms over the years and would highly recommend these, much cheaper than Delks and perform just as well.

Saying they perform as well as delkim is laughable, they are totally different systems. Delkim are way more versatile. I found with atts I couldn't stop wind bleeps, and I have had rollers freeze on other alarms years ago so using them in winter is a no for me. Also its too easy for fish to kite with no indication with rollers imo

I had fox alarms before the delkims and did suffer a couple of times with fish kiting in a certain swim and getting no indication whatsoever. Never had the same problem with the delks fishing the same swim.
I dont really want to change from delks so im just going to have to decide between the dongles or a full upgrade to digitals i suppose

Can't you change the roller wheels like nevs? Get some 2 mags and the wind problem would be largely sorted. And how often do you really need to worry about indication when kiting? I've always had Neville's and can remember two occasions in the last 10 years where that's happened. I still got enough indication to wake me up and landed both without any issue. It's not something to worry about, certainly not enough to totally poo poo a set of decent alarms, imo.
You could pick up 2 atts & receiver easily for £100 second hand. A lot of mates have them and rate them highly.

One water in particular I used to fish years ago the fish were notorious for kiting and getting away without giving indication. And yeah you can change wheels, but it's a bit of a faff compared to turning a dial. Doesn't stop them freezing either. I've got a set of rollers, but very rarely use them. The delkims are far superior in every way imo

I Have had most of the big name alarms, and the att's are the best I have had and most certainly the best looking delks and fox are so big and bulky,,

I went for the ATT's due to the silent mode of them and have used them now for over three years, I do really rate them and changing the rollers is a 5 minute job, max, one screw.

Not sure if it applies when used with the dongles, but I believe one of the main improvements with the deluxe receiver is that it didn't have the ‘long first beep' which made you think it was the start of a screamer every time you got a random single bleep... I'm sure someone will know/explain it better 😬
