Hi all, looking for a syndicate to join in Cambridgeshire, ones that have places or a short waiting list. Happy to Pay up to £500-£600 a year. Places with carp up to 30lb would be nice. Thanks in advance

I haven't fished it since about 1998-2000 so I guess I might be way off, but would Woolpack fit the bill?

Wow. How much are they charging now?
I used to be a gold member, which gave you access to all of the lakes, I think there was six. I paid £175 a year.

Two different syndicates now. 1, 2 and 3 are called cow Lane syndicate I think.

One the website it says for lakes 5/6 and 7 and 8 is £725

That is the one run by Andy Stafford. There is another one behind it.
You have also got St. Ives lakes, Earith Carp lakes and lots of other smaller syndicates dotted about.

There's two syndis at the woolpack as mentioned. 1,2 & 3 run by Rob Farrant which I'm sure will still be under £500. Getting a ticket quick isn't going to happen though, especially if you don't know anyone to recommend you.
The other is run by Andy Stafford and I'm positive you don't have to pay for all the lakes at once. I'm sure you can get a 7&8 ticket and possibly a ticket for just lake 8.
There's a new one starting up over Block Fen I believe, on the water that was on the cfpas ticket. Think that was £300 or there abouts.
Earith could be worth a look. Should be under your budget and from what I've been told they let anyone on.
It may be worth speaking to Scottweiler on here as I believe he runs one in Cambridge somewhere.
To be honest mate, any syndicate that you can just walk into without at least being recommended isn't going to be worth spending that sort of money on. I'd join a club or two for now and get your name down on a few lists for the future.

Starting on st ives myself Friday after fair few years in the pipe line. Tough couple years on ferry lagoon down the road so be nice to actually see and catch a few after a huge amount of nights seeing nothing at all despite walking looking and walking some more at the right time, don't regret a second of it though mega place. Always tickets on ives mega fish mega place if wild is up your street 👍

Does anyone know how busy it gets at st ives lakes, because I'm a weekend angler didn't know if it will be rammed packed on some of the more popular lakes? Thanks

Check out the website mate . So much water to go at you will always find somewhere to plant yourself . Would imagine shallows would be pretty busy at the weekend . But there is some serious expanses of water to go at if you fancy a challenge .
