My eldest son has moved up to Reading and is looking for a club to join
Hes been carp fishing a while but by his own admission is still learning but learning quickly
Hes looking at joining a club in the Reading Area and has been looking at either RDAA or Southlakes AC
Any views from anyone about these or alternative ideas
He ideally wants to join a club rather then day ticket venues
Hes not obsessed by the size but a few 20lb + fish would be good and wants to be able to fish overnight

RDAA has plenty of lakes but most get busy. You have both Thatcham and Newbury not far away as well as Wasing Estate syndicates which are not extortionate and offer multiple lakes. Reading is blessed with options of all kinds of coarse fishing with the Kennet offering an alternative to lakes

Also worth considering is to the East of Reading. Dinton Pastures have a variety of lakes (though waiting lists on White and Black swan i believe) but have a couple of other lakes.
Twyford and district (though never fished them). Marlow being another one in the general (Eastern) area.
Used to fish (and bailiff) RDAA waters for quite a few years so happy to help if you/he has any questions - though i havent fished them for a number of years now, and certainly busier than when i was on there, though still keep vaguely in touch with them through friends.
Plus of course the Thames which has been in great nick for all species in recent years

If you want to avoid the masses, you would do far worse than enquire with Wasing, as previously mentioned. I've been on their ticket since the early noughties and can't fault either of their carp syndicates. Fab lakes .
