Had to laugh as our syndicate lake just informed us the fish started spawning... a few deluded members were hoping to go tomorrow looking at Facebook

Will be interesting to see the death rates now the carp will be given a good 3+ weeks of recovery time. On the flip side, how will they cope without the food being provided?

A properly managed fishery will have enough natural food to sustain the stock, those overstocked venues should be fed by the management.

Makes me laugh on the Faceache pages.
I've booked a week of etc.. I'll be out..
Most sensible Fisheries have said even IF we get a green light, they'll remain shut until safety of the staff is sorted.
End of the month not tomorrow the R curve is still too high.

Cant see any lakes being open any time soon like even if the loosen the lockdown later augest september time i think it will start getting back to normal

2 lakes i am members of have this afternoon put forward their proposals for the off
i won't be going for the first few weeks to let the surge die away and plus they are due to spawn soon so open then close to open again. If it was my fishery i would not open until after spawning and then slowly just like coming out of lockdown.

Can fish my local club water from Wednesday under strict rules of total SD staying on your peg and using hand sanitizer when opening an closing gates but the pegs are 100s of feet apart so can't really see a problem myself

Personally i would go a step further and advise that if you have to open gates and the like to keep a pair of gloves (preferably disposable) in your vehicle as well as sanitiser.
This is what i've been doing when visiting the petrol station.
