Hi all , could anyone recommend a easy (ish) water that I could take my lad to for a few days once all this mayhem has ended, Trying to keep him interested and the syndicate we fish together Is quite hard - although I'm trying to explain its quality not quantity I think he is getting board of us blanking ! We are based East Midlands and don't mind travelling up to say 3 hours, ( been to most local day tickets) would like to try some where new, just a couple of things- size is unimportant as long as we are catching, double peg a must, safe and secure and nice surroundings, any ideas/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

If looks dont matter drayton res is the one when there having it which they should ne after not getting frd for a while you will reel the rods in to get some sleep

You could get to the linear complex in three hours, perhaps B1?
Would you make it to Thorpe Lea in three hours, or farlows?
If you just want a big water with loads of room and a **** ton of fish in it then what about Willows/Albans Lake in St Albans.? It's soppy easy, even in January in freezing conditions we've had half a dozen fish days only. I've never fished it in spring/summer but I'm guessing you wouldn't be getting much sleep.

Stanwick lakes mate. Swan is the ‘runs' water. It wi be busy I imagine once the restrictions are lifter but definitely good for a few bites.
Also Naseby reservoir but you need to book on to fish nights. Definitely a runs water.

There was loads of stuff on social media a few years ago. Pictures of some old fish from Peterborough waters supposedly turning up in there.
