Using my "lockdown" time to do some research on a stretch of river I'm planning to spend some time on. It's got good access, there's an island and the flow isn't too strong.
Although it's all a bit secret squirrel here with captures of large carp largely being kept under wraps I did find find documented captures of late teen early twenty captures, so all was looking good.
Found out today there was a 4ft bull shark caught about 400 meters upstream from the spot in 2015!!!
Imagine getting sharked whilst carping......

That's a bit different I think I much prefer nuisance mullet when fishing tidal waters lol

I'd heard of them swimming miles up rivers in other countries but never in the uk!
Imagine hooking into that when you're trotting for grayling....

Mal, if you research Bull sharks you'll find they don't visit UK waters.
If you research a posters location you'll find they don't live in the UK either.

No, it's about 2km up from the saline/tidal area. I saw the Jeremy Wade episode in South Africa where they were finding them up to 20km upstream.
Never thought I'd run into them through carping though

Crocs, dont even start me on that, they go for up to $120 here and they arent even the designer fancy ones
