I have just serviced my gteb 8000 baitrunners, ive serviced them many times previously probably ten times each, but in all those times ive never serviced the baitrunner washers, i rarely use the baitrunner as it hasnt had much tension, after replacing one of the washers with a carbon one the reels now have a really good range of baitrunner tension. The issue that has arisen is that when the baitrunner tension is quite high(probably higher than designed) the baitrunner mechanism can disengage if line is taken quickly which obviously could be catastrophic. I can dial the tension down and it behaves normally. Any suggestions short of dialing back the tension.
