I am looking for a new spod rod.
Right now I am using Century Spodding Machine. As you probably know, it is a very stiff rod.
The new spod will be used to spod whit the big spomb at 140 meters maximum distance.
I just want a Rod that can reach 140 meters whit the big spomb and isnt as stiff.

I do not believe there is such a thing as a rod that can chuck a large spomb 155 yards without being stiff mate.
It might be worth checking the Aviator spod out, it's said to be a bit more forgiving than the out-and-out distance spod rods. But 155 with a large is a BIG ask with a softer rod imo.

Been using the X5 Horizon 13ft spod/marker rod for a couple of seasons. Bought it for a specific job and it works for me. It's a powerful rod but in my opinion has reasonably progressive action and it is easy to use. In still conditions I can reach 140 carefully measured yards with medium or large spomb. Bit further in helpful conditions. If you are putting in a lot of bait I hope you are fit. I'd never really fished consistently at these ranges before and it really surprised me. But I'm old and knackered. This rod will definitely do the job and it avoids being a hyper stiff tournament blank.

I have the Fox XT 13 foot spod rod and it will cast a long way but it does weigh a ton. So i bought a Free Spirit CTX Spomb rod for shorter range work with a medium Spomb and it's so easy to use.
I doubt you will get anything better than the rod you already have for long distance spodding.

I briefly had an XT 13' and just couldn't get on with it, proper broom handle, sold it and got a Torrix 12' also had a CTX for a few years, brilliant rod

Rods are a very personal thing and if the XT 13 is not the one for you, fair enough, move on. From the 70,s to the mid 90,s I pursued tge art and technical side of casting knowledge on the beach, from early ABU Atlantic zooms, Century, Conoflex, Hardy, Zziplex and others. A big powerful rod it is, a broom handle it is not. Not fair comment on the action of the blank.

Ok maybe 'broom handle' was a bit unfair but yes it's heavy that's for sure

Definitely look at the aviator spod
Its quite a special blank imo, compresses surprisingly easily
Ive used mine on some pretty hectic sessions at 130 yds plus casting over zigs for hours on end and it makes things much easier than the treb spod rod that i had before
