It has come to that point in life that health has decided that a bait boat would be a good investment.
I have never used one in 30+ years of carp angling & put myself at disadvantage on some waters were I knew I would catch more it I could put baits under over hanging branches using a bait boat, etc.
The waters I fish aren't massive by a long shot & mostly would be used for putting rigs in areas where casting would be difficult (but not putting the fish at any risk of snagging up etc). Also would save me killing myself spodding bait when needed.
I cannot justify (or afford) one of the big branded boats with all the bells & whistles, so been looking at OEM boats from everybody's favourite country of origin on everybody's favourite internet auction site!!!
THIS ONE Caught my attention, mainly for the price!!!!
Anybody have any experience with this sort of OEM unbranded bait boats from the large communist country that loves a disease!?!

Not seen that particular model but have seen a couple of those cheapy ebay jobs. Personally wouldn't waste my money. Just keep your eye out for a second hand lake reaper, they are cheap as chips and good little boats

Future carping are just about to release a new bait boat for 150 quid which doesn't look too bad it will come with a UK warranty, which might be worth a go, but otherwise as said below the lake reaper is spot on for the money.

I used one like that to good effect on a trip about 4 or 5 years ago. Despite the adverse, (mainly jokey), comments on here when I posted about it, HMS Gonads did what she was supposed to do.
Despite the "Fred Karno" way it drops the bait and rig, I didn't experience one problem with it.
They look a bit of a joke, and I wouldn't have used it on a fishery over here, but that's just me. I don't wear shorts when I'm over here in case anybody see's my skinny white pasty legs, but when on holiday where nobody knows me, c'est la vie!
I think I paid about £60.00 for mine, used it for two years French trips and then sold it on for £20.00. So in effect it cost me £40.00. The alternative was renting one from the fishery concerned at £100.00 per week so over the two years I used it, it saved me £160.00!!

As recommended in post 2 have a look at a lakereaper, quite a few more £s than what you've been looking at but pretty much indestructible simple design, I got mine from a lad at work who'd managed to drop and smash the hand set, i bought it as a repair then to sell on 4 year's later it's used exclusively over my other model, I'd recommend these to anyone for their first boat or like myself who's been using one for year's who just wants a no fuss boat

Be careful buying a cheap one, my son bought one from Germany, sounded really good for the price, loads of features..........EXCEPT it didn't have a reverse! It would spin 180deg to bring it back, great until he put it into vegetation on the opposite bank after dropping the bait, had to walk round the lake and push it out with his landing net pole lol.

Yes seen that happen to a few cheapo boats. 🤣🤣
Also watch out for a turning circle like the titanic. Also a nightmare when getting close to snags etc.
