Morning gents,
Lucky enough to have got a set of original ss3000 square drives in mint original condition.

I see the original line clips look quite small and with no shock absorber, will these take much on hitting the clip?

If not any suggestions, I would like to keep the originals on.

No mate, you'll kill them. As long as you're careful during removal you can keep the originals to re-fit if you ever come to sell the reels/spools.
I recommend the South Customer Reels jobbies. A little fiddly to fit but easily doable and work really well.
