I'm looking to roll some tuna pop ups, I want them to be yellow, but not flouro. Having never rolled bait I'm unsure of exactly what to use. I'm assuming I won't be able to get the correct colour if I buy tuna basemix as it's deep red, so do I buy a standard pop up mix and then a suitable bait dye? I'm then stuck with how to flavour it, the only thing I can find is a Pacific tuna Hookbait enhancer, would this be ok as the only flavour/attractor? How much do I use? Any recommendations on a pop up mix and/or yellow dye are most welcome. If poss I'd like the yellow to be more like sunflower colour. Thanks people 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I would give CC Moore a call and ask them what they suggest, they are pretty helpful usually.

They do a white tuna pop up, guess that could be a short cut, would need to figure out how to get colour correct. Although tbh I would quite like to roll some of my own if I can get it right

If you mix mainline yellow powder with the fluro yellow pop up mix it comes out the colour you want adding 15% of the base mix also use the liquid additive.

It may fo yes a little but the mainline yellow is strong so should over power it enough to come through

I put a load of fish hydro in a pink mix the othe day and it is a duller pink now, the fish liquid is nearly black....

I would go with what is recommended on the pot for 6 egg mix, so if it says 20-50ml then for a 1 egg hookbait mix I would use 20mls

Oh my god that liquid stinks, my missus was not happy 😂😂😂😂, they turned out ok, but I did seem to lose a fair bit of colour from the dye when boiling. Is this due to not mixing enough? I thought I'd done it thoroughly, but had to make a second batch and over colour them to get the finished colour correct. Thanks for your help btw Neil. 👍🏻👍🏻
