I am looking for some free or cheap waters near to Teesside for when the lockdown is over. Some places charge an absolute fortune which I just can't afford. I am aware of Stillington Pond but I'm not sure how good the carp fishing is there.

Hi james im from county durham, unfortunately we dont have much but there is wallys angling club which maybe full not sure, you have paradise lakes fisheries in witton park, catterick complex (although a ****hole) has good fish in, avoid in summer at all costs thats about it really mate
There is also charlies pond billingham but you need to have a billingham postcode to gain a ticket i believe

Can fish the small pond for a few quid at charltons pond or there is tees valley lakes some nice lumps in there

Believe me it isn't brilliant. Theres Hemlington Lake too, saw the rules for Hemo saying to use backleads wherever possible but honestly I'm not sure how to use them. Unrelated but if anyone could tell me how that'd be great.

I'm also aware of Carr's but that's about 12 quid and I've heard you'd be weighig in more shopping trolleys than fish these days. Just what I've heard.

You could enquire about Middlesbrough Angling Club James.
They have New Marske Reservoir which has a good stock with some decent fish in it.
I think there are still some fish in Albert Park too which is a couple of quid on the bank.

Or there is the river tees over stockton near the bingo some carp in there last time i was over therè

Heartburn bricky is free use to be some nice fish in there but not dure now
