Hi don't normally use rod pods but off to a venue with stages so just ordered and received a Chub precision lite pod base from ebay at good price. It arrived and seems well made but will only take 2 of the wychwood banksticks (very tight fit) that i have with JRC ones not fitting due to the holes being about 1mm to small. So i ordered and now have the precision lite banksitcks and they fit but the screws will not grip them as they only go in so far due to the retaining mechanism and the sticks are loose. Am i missing something here??? Really not happy as have always thought Chub was a good brand but these items seem awful!

Have you definatly bought the 'Lite' version of the pod base and not the regular? There was a guy selling the normal versions for around £30 on there the other day.

HI yes did think that buts its definitely the lite version coupled with Chub lite banksticks. One of the banksticks will not fit into one of the holders and another one was thinner so when tight the holder did not grip it. Got round it by playing with the thumbscrew retaining mechanism and now it works ok and i just have to avoid some of the holders with the 'fat bank stick". Pretty poor as far as i am concerned but works now! Glad i did not pay top dollar for it!
