I think they must have as lots of places out of stock and they were discounted which is amazing

Had a quick look at future fishing they seem to of gone up to 79.99 now if they were still 30 I'd of bought a set! Still using the original ones

I have a set of the new ones there nothing like the originals
I had a set when they first came out. Snapped them on my second outing!!!

Love my original diawa powemesh rods. I remember at the time they were quite dear when they were first released. You had the choice in order of price; pro carp, powemesh, dictators and infinity x. All cracking rods that have stood the test of time.
Saying that, I not going to lie when I say mine are looking rather tired these days after over 20 years of abuse..

I'm the lucky custodian of three mk1's in 11ft 2.25tc. Love them to bits for small water fishing.

I have a set of the Powermesh Barbel 12' 2.75lb rods I bought these for use on the Tidal Trent when I realised I needed very heavy leads in the powerful river and I saw some of the locals using them and used them for 2 seasons caught a fair few big fish on them and the performance is wonderful
I dont think Daiwa have ever made a fishing rod that wasnt brilliant
( or reel for that matter)

Interline rods were far from it.

Still using original pair and have added a third. Only fish small waters so spot on for me.
I've got a set that are now my small water rods, must be knocking on twenty years old now. They were my main rods for a good few years and eventually they went soft, which actually means they are great for small carp without snags. I've still got twenty year old bait runners on them
Haha! Same here! Still got the 6010's I bought with them fitted! Seriously beautifully balanced outfit and my all time favourite combo. Simply cracking short to medium range combo
