I have a helikon ecwcs army jacket it's suppose to be waterproof, I bought it brand new a few years ago but have only worn it a hand full of times. Recently I was out in it in the pouring rain and it leaked like a siv. All the taped seams are fine so I guess it needs to be reproofed. Inside the jacket it says use formula XII, however a google search turns back nothing on this.
Any ideas what this is or what I could give it a reproofing with? I've used fabsil before on another garment and it didn't last long. Cheers in advance

For my gore-tex Pro shell bike kit I used storm twin pac stuff, come in two containers with one being the washing cleaner the other the reproofer.

Mine did the same leaked on me last summer , i cleaned it with nikwax tech wash then used nikwax tx direct wash in, ive not been out in prolonged rain but the times i have it hasn't leaked and water now beads off it, i have no idea how long it will last.

Both suggestions are great. I've used both these companies for jackets and Bivvy (nylon/canvas)

Very similar, both do the job, my bike kit is gore-tex Pro shell which is the gore-tex is laminated to the outer shell. The storm I just put the washing solution in the soap draw and the proofer in the conditioner draw while the nicwax used to do two separate washes.
