Hi all I'm looking to do 2/3 nights on a day ticket water. I don't mind travelling up to 3 hours away (I'm from the East Midlands geographically) I'm looking for somewhere that not too hard but with a good chance of catching 20's and the potential to catch bigger. I have fished linear before but have been put off by how busy it is and people coming round every 5 mins asking what time your on till. Thanks

Perhaps Thorpe lea might suit you better. Granted it's busy but the time I fished it we certainly weren't hassled. Or farlows but obviously that does get rammoed.

Hi Have you considered Stanwicks? Several lakes on the complex but its Mallard and Elsons that should be loooked at..Mallard has a good stock to upper 20's..Elsons is their premiere venue with carp to just over 40. Prices and details on their website. Very easy access off A14 Southbound too

Farlows is about as good as it gets, if you can't get on the main lake (sure you would in the week) you could go on the 2nd lake which itself has stunning fish in the 20's.
