Anybody else had this problem with the alarm head .
Reading the manual 5 short burst of bleeps indicate low battery but after changing and putting new ones in still the same.
I've contacted angling direct and Gardner and I'm going to send it back.
Just wondering if its a common fault .

I've never had one apart but are the battery connections clean and tight. Dirty is easier to spot but tightness might be a bit trickier to detect.

have you changed battery in both the alarm and the receiver?

Changed all the batteries in all 3 alarms and receiver .
They are only 6 months old and in mint condition the battery conections are like new.

Worth checking the batteries with a multimeter? That's if you haven't already, before sending them away.

Cheers lads you got me thinking went out and bought better quality AA batteries for the receiver and looks like that might be it hopefully ,if not will send back.👍

Found some Eveready batteries have had very short life recently, and some of my well within date Maplin batteries were flat before I even used them.

As the gentleman says, Which consumer magazine gets it right on the best batteries, they don't take prisoners.
