Hmmmmmmm. I found it too strong. I've used them everywhere, on some stupidly easy day tickets and hard waters, I'm nearly through the whole pot. Never had so much as a single pick up on one. I know as humans we all like a stinky bait, but I'm unsure if these have actually gone too far or if it's just a coincidence that my results on them have been so poor. By contrast I make my own pop ups which have a much more subtle flavour and on the days that I blanked with the hells I was catching on my own.

Same for me used them a number of times and never caught despite other baits doing fish. I think in certain situations it can probably repel fish rather than attract.

I've just received a pot. Absolutely stunk the house out when i opening them. Going to give them a go over the coming months against Mainline Salty Squid & Pineapple popups

Just for balance, I've always found these a good bait on my water. Plus side is the barrels balance an 18mm boilie well for a snowman or you can core out an 18mm and pop one in for a balance bottom bait. Also, you get used to the smell

It's when you get used to the smell you are in trouble, as you and your vehicle stink to everyone else but you!

I caught well on the white hells on a very silty lake.

Had a couple of pots, couldn't buy a bite on them. They really don't smell that bad/strongly.

Good god mine do. When the pot arrived I stuck it under my wife's nose and told her to take a big old sniff. She ran to the back door and started heaving. Even though I've never caught in them. That alone was worth the purchase price.

Thanks for the replies, thought they might be a bit strong myself but I'll give them a whirl at the weekend

I've caught on the Hells but seem to do much better on the Sea Monster.

I'm nearly through a full pot, and I haven't had a single bite in them, If I wasn't such a tight ass I'd throw them away

Saw a bloke catch a fish on one in pea green algea, really bad conditions, they work, he then tied one on a size 5 chod and it leaned over.... The buoyancy would be my issue..

I've done very well on these over the past 12 months, through the Autumn and Winter too!
In fact I only have these and the pineapple version in my bucket at the moment.
