Just a warning about carp lounge - They have the X-boat list as being available for sale on their website, but it is actually out of stock, and has been since before the 2nd of March (who knows how long before that!!)
I ordered one midday Monday last week and made the bank transfer the following morning. I was then contacted on Thursday to say that they were no longer stocking the X-boat, but I could have a B grade RT4 boat in it's place. I declined as it was not what I wanted (and being offered a B grade product didn't seem right as the error was theirs).
I transferred 1520 euros, which translated to £1369.49 after conversion. The refund I got was £1300.07 euros after conversion., EDIT - Carrplounge have now refunded the difference
Given that there was ample opportunity to cancel the order before I paid I am very disappointed and will definitely not be using them as a supplier again. Also to note, they did state that the item would be removed from the website over the weekend - As of this morning (Tuesday) it is still there.
I just ordered one from TFT instead - Wish I had done that in the first place, but I thought that Carp lounge were a safe bet.
I do have to note that the people that I spoke to at Carp Lounge over the phone were very pleasant and friendly, but their processes are not good enough for me to consider using them again.

I just posted on some facebook groups. Seems that it has actually been out of stock for a while. I was told on the phone that the last one sold the day before.

exchange rates change ok but if its their fault for what ever reason then that's very poor customer services.

To be fair they gave back the same amount of euros that they received.
It could've gone the other way with the exchange rate and after converting euros back to pounds you could end up getting more back than you gave

Agreed - However, the boat hasn't been in stock since November, and the banks make money out of currency conversion - It shouldn't have happened in the first place...

Its not fair you should be out of pocket since they had them noted as in stock on their website. It probably bank fees and exchange rates but you shouldn't be left with the bill. I have been waiting 8 weeks for a Li-Ion Ultra Longlife battery, like you it said on the website it was in stock but at least I'm not out of pocket. That being said I have had good experiences in the past with them.

Good news - I just had a call from Carp Lounge - They have agreed to do an extra refund to cover the deficit - Which is really good news!
Will hopefully be with me within a couple of days

Had a similar experience a couple of years ago, when i ordered my rt4. Sent the money at the price they quoted me thru international transfer. They said I was 10 euros short. Pointed out I had paid based on their quote. Wouldn't release the boat til I paid the 10 euros. Ok, it was less than half a percent of the cost, but man did it grate on principle.
