I cut my teeth on there 25 year ago. I loved it there. It was lawless and full of rats!! Lots of work done since then by the looks of things. Was a lovely place to fish and had a nice stock of varied fish.

Had a stroll round last summer, it looks fantastic now, mature trees, reeds etc. When I fished it nearly 30 years ago, it was a hole in the ground with a hump of sand in the middle that is the now a beautiful snaggy island.
Trouble is its now full of cats, great if that's what you're after but absolutely not for me. Hate the bloody things.
Good food van on site though.

If you were a regular on there back then it's possible our paths might have crossed although I think 30 years would be pushing it a bit for me on there. I looked back at some old pics from there the other day and I think they were from 95.
I might even post a couple up if I can scan them for a laugh. I look at my set up and think my god what was I doing!!! Lol. And I look about 12.

A lot of cats were removed a few years back. Don't know if its helped.

They took a lot out, it was the bream that used to kill you though. Bloody things were ravenous.

Must admit I did check your name when I saw your post, can't say it rang any bells though, that's not to say that our paths didn't cross. 91/92 I think when I first fished it, days only then, a good day would be around 15-20 fish. Good times.

I reckon you were on there before me. I'm pretty sure 95 was the first year I fished it. My cousin was at a Residential training college for the building trade somewhere in Norfolk and he introduced me to it around that time as he roomed with a local lad that fished it
I loved it on there. I'm afraid to go back in a way in case it spoils the memories for me. It's crazy as back then it seemed such a big water. Now I trudge round 65 acre pits and I realise it was tiny.
Great times and it had some lovely looking carp in it.
